Course Cancellation and Refund Policy
Online Courses (Live Stream or Asynchronous)
Generally, online training course orders are NOT eligible for refund or cancellation. However, we MAY approve a transfer request provided the Student meets the following requirements:
- The Student MUST notify us of their desire to transfer or cancel IN WRITING within 24-hours of placing the online order.
- Requests MUST be sent via email (VERBAL requests are NOT accepted) to following address: [email protected] AND;
- The Student must NOT HAVE EXCEEDED the MAXIMUM training TIME ALLOWED for ANY online course:
- Courses with a TOTAL course time of 30 minutes to 1-hour:10 minutes MAXIMUM
- Courses with a TOTAL course time of 1-hour to 2-hours:15 minutes MAXIMUM
- Courses with a TOTAL course time of 2-hours to 7-hours, 59 minutes:20 minutes MAXIMUM
- Courses with a TOTAL course time of 8-Hours or more: 30 minutes MAXIMUM
Transfers:
ALL Transfer requests MUST be made within 24-Hours of placing your order. We will ONLY approve transfer requests if the Student has not EXCEEDED the MAXIMUM time allotted. You may transfer your registration fee to a course of equal or lesser value. The tuition difference will NOT be refunded for transfers INTO a course of LESSER value. Transfers to courses of GREATER value must include payment of additional tuition with the transfer request.
If the request is made AFTER 24-hours OR the student has completed MORE THAN the MAXIMUM allotted training time (indicated above) your tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Course Completion Policy:
- All online courses have a final exam. Students must receive a passing grade to be issued a certificate of completion.
Hybrid or In-Person Courses
Southeast Professional Education Group will make every effort to run each course that is advertised. Due to unforeseen circumstances, sometimes this is not possible. Therefore, we recommend waiting until four weeks prior to your course to book travel arrangements.
If a course is canceled or is interrupted while in progress by an ‘act of God’ (such as, but not limited to, fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidal waves, floods, or viral pandemics) or circumstances beyond our control, no refunds will be issued. Southeast Professional Education Group will gladly transfer your course registration, for no fee, to the same type of course at a mutually agreeable future date and location. Neither Southeast Professional Education Group, its instructors, education partners nor the host facility is responsible for any reimbursement of expenses incurred by participants, including airline tickets or hotel accommodations.
Cancellation by Southeast Professional Education Group (outside of reasons listed above)
- Southeast Professional Education Group reserves the right to cancel any course for any reason.
- Registrants will be notified, via email, of such cancellation, no less than 10 days prior to the applicable course date.
- If a course is cancelled by Southeast Professional Education Group, the course participant will be entitled to a full refund or be allowed to transfer the funds to another scheduled course. Southeast Professional Education Group is not financially responsible for any airfare, hotel, or any other personal travel expenses.
Cancellation by Course Participant
- For hybrid courses, the online course policy above applies for the online portion of the course. Any refund or transfer amounts of tuition paid will be based upon the portion of tuition for the in-person portion of the course.
- If the registrant cancels 30 or more calendar days prior to the beginning of the course, registrant may apply the full course fee to another class, with no extra fees deducted, or a refund for the in-person portion of the tuition paid minus 20% of registration fee for bank charges and administrative fees.
- If less than 30 days to a registered course, the participant will not be eligible for a refund, but can transfer their funds one time to another scheduled course for no additional fees.
- If registrant needs to cancel a second time, a 10% (of course registration) administrative fee will be charged for every course cancellation and reregistration moving forward If registrant does not use transferred funds within one year, they will not be refunded and will not be able to transfer their funds to another scheduled course.
- Southeast Professional Education Group is not financially responsible for any airfare, hotel, or any other personal travel expenses.
Attendance Policy
- Once you have purchased a registration, you are required to attend the entire course in order to receive the Certificate of Completion and any CEU credit. Exceptions to this rule will not be allowed under any circumstances.
- No shows to a course are not refunded.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- Online training courses may NOT be transferred to another student.
- Orders placed with a “Discount Code” or at a sale price are given transfer credit equal to the amount PAID.
