Dr. Tom Teter is the founder and owner of Engineering Athletes, a rehabilitation and performance enhancement clinic that focuses on assisting athletes in reaching their peak physical potential. Engineering Athletes utilizes a systematic process for long term athletic development integrating manual therapy, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement training. With more than 15 years of clinical experience in clinical practice and strength and conditioning Dr. Teter has treated and trained thousands of athletes at all levels of skill and ability. His clients have ranged from children in youth development programs to elite and professional athletes from a wide variety of sporting backgrounds. Dr. Teter holds a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Missouri State University, as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College. With his extensive experience in rehabilitation Dr. Teter holds numerous certifications within the industry that have helped him develop injury prevention and performance enhancement programs for numerous teams and individual athletes. In addition to running his private practice Dr. Teter was an Associate Professor and the program director for the Fitness and Wellness program at Park University for 5 years. During his time at Park University Dr. Teter developed the programs curriculum blending the science of exercise with the practical application of strength and conditioning. Because of his experience teaching in academia, Dr. Teter developed his ‘Rehab to Fitness’ continuing education course instructing athletic trainers, chiropractors, and physical therapists how to optimize human movement and design practical training programs. In addition to his work at the University, Dr. Teter developed and created an application for smartphones that determines daily readiness for athletic activity by measuring subjective training loads and physiological adaptation to stress.
